Kumfort Kabyn Moose Mountain Park

Has anyone ever stayed at Kumfort Kabyn near Moose Mountain Park. Family from opposite sides of Canada are meeting near Moose Mountain park for a vacation. Never been before and are looking for a cottage or cabin to rent. Kenosee Inn Cabins are full already. Much to do in the area? Lots for kiddies?

I have never stayed at Kumfort Kabyn, but with no response to your inquiry I thought I would help best as I could. Kumfort Kabyn appears to is be owned by a local family, and I would have no reason to believe it would be anything other than advertised.

The Moose Mountain Park area is a popular recreational area. It's about 2 hours from Regina and 4 hours from Winnipeg. There is more to do than in most park areas in southern Saskatchewan, while neither Kenosee or nearby Whitebear Lake are large or deep lakes, they are fine for swimming and many people waterski. Other attractions for all ages range from a water park to a casino. There is a major historic site, Cannington, not far away. Carlyle, a larger town with fairly good shopping, etc., is just a few minutes away.

There is a huge playground at Kenosee near the beach parking lot that I have many fond childhood memories of, I'm sure the little kids will have a ball there. The waterslides are really good and are just outside of Kenosee Park. There are slides for small children there too, and a lazy river course where you can float aimlessly for hours (but don't be like my hubby - make sure you retouch the sunscreen if you plan to float all day, lol). The kids will want to go to the waterslides every day, I'm sure. There are nice beaches at Kenosee and White Bear Lake (Hotel Beach). There is a mini golf course at White Bear, as well as a first rate golf course. The Casino is at White Bear Lake. Nearby is Cannington Lake and Cannington Manor historic site. There is also horseback riding at Kenosee Lake.

The village of Kenosee Lake has a couple of taverns for the adults, as well as a grocery story, liquor store, gas station.

Carlyle is about 20 minutes from Kenosee and is a larger center where you can rent boats and seadoos.

A few miles north of Kenosee Lake is a pottery barn (look for the big red barn) if the ladies want to get away and shop a bit.

There is plenty to do and see in the area, don't worry about that! My only concern might be when they are planning their get together, as a lot of roads in the area are currently under water.
