length of drive to yosemite? help!

just looked at tour and it SAYS 3 and a half hours drive. is this really the case? it also says one and a half to Lee Vining...so we could drive in the evening to here and not miss a day, then get up early and drive to yosemite...would this then be only 2 hours away? doesnt seem as bad...i thought it was 4 and a half in total???

That seems about right. I think it's about 70 miles from Lee Vining to The Valley but the speed limit is usually 45mph; the actual speed is likely to be slower. And there's so much to see and do en route that you're likely to take quite a while.

Hi ShazF7

Here is a website that will help you re distance and timehttp://www.wildtexas.com/travel-calculator.php

Don't fooled by the title - just type in where you are coming form eg Lake Tahoe, Ca the type where to eg. Yosemite, Ca - and it should give you time and distance. It is not exact but it will give you a guide.

Hope it helps

You can also use google maps by right clicking on each of two point for directions. Not only does it give you directions, but also total distance and estimated drive time, occasionally with notes about times in heavy traffic.
