Where was the fire damage at Lake Tahoe?

We're going to South Lake Tahoe in September to hike some and make lots of photos. I would like to know if the fires last year (or two years ago?) got as far as the eastern part of Fallen Leaf Lake, Lily Lake or Echo Lake. I've been to Lake Tahoe 12 to 15 times to hike and ski but never as a ([an] amateur)photographer and burned trees won't make very good photos.

FWIW we're going for a week and I decided to rent a house rather than stay in one of the casino hotels and I found the rental homes quite reasonable.

1. Re: Where was the fire damage at Lake Tahoe?

The fire damage was south and east of the Angora Lakes area.

Here's a link to a map showing the burn area:

Also at teh bottom of this page there are maps of the burn area:

It would not be that likely that you'd see any burned out trees at Fallen Leaf Lake.
