Booking my car hire and wondering about tolls.

We are picking the car up at MCO, staying just off 192, visiting Disney parks, Universal Parks, Busch Gardens plus plenty of shopping and a trip to see the Magic play.

I guess my question is will we be on toll roads very often and should we pay for the toll thingo with the car hire. We are there for 4 weeks so it will cost a fortune :(

Who are you renting with ? IMO avoid Dollar/Thrifty at all costs as they charge the most. You can still pay tolls in the Orlando area with cash. Avoid the cashless toll lanes and you should be fine. No need to use the Sunpass.

No and no. As long as you stay in Central Florida, you should be fine. Approaching a toll booth, stay to the far RIGHT lane to pay in cash. Have a few quarters handy for those very rare unmanned toll booths.

For reference, here is a map of the Central FL toll roads. https:/…ExpressMap2009.pdf

If that's the plan they you are unlikely to encounter tolls anywhere other than your commute to/from the airport with 2 stops each way and a grand total of around $5. Here is how the different car rental companies handle the sunpass https://www.sunpass.com/rentalcar If you stay right you'll be able to use cash. I'd take the extra step in asking for a receipt and hanging on to it.
