Rayavadee Pavilion Options

We're planning a trip to Thailand later this year and plan on spending 5 nights at Rayavadee. There are three of us traveling including our 9 year old daughter. I'm considering either a Deluxe Pavilion, Terrace Pavilion, or Hydro Pool Pavilion.

Is the additional cost of a Terrace or Hydro Pool Pavilion worth it? If so, which is the better choice? I've been unable to make a clear decision from looking at the limited photos online.

Thanks in advance!

We've stayed in the pavilions with a whirlpool bath and in a hydro pool pavilion. The ones with the outdoor whirlpool are not worth the extra money but the pool pavilions are. However, be careful where your pavilion is located. Some have quite a lot of vegetation overhanging them so the pools are freezing. These tend to be in the Phranang area, which is the quietest area of the resort (at night) but the noisiest during the day because this is where the dozens and dozens of long tailed and speedboats drop off the hundreds of day trippers. This is also the best of the 3 beaches.

The pavilions that have less vegetation over hanging the pools tend to be closest to the restaurant at East Railay. These border the cliffs and are where the monkeys come down every day from the jungle. Beautifully peaceful during the day but hell on earth at night. There are some awful backpackers bars on this side of the peninsula and they play loud pounding music until late into the night. I needed the a/c on high to muffle the sound and on a few nights even needed earplugs to sleep.
