Parking/security at Baie Longue

My wife and I have really enjoyed the quiet, seclusion, and solitude of Baie Longue over the years. We are returning to SXM this May for an off-season vacation, probably for the last time. Sad to say that our rental car had been broken into on 2 separate occasions in the past. Do you have any suggestions how we might be able to keep our car safe while visiting this beach for the entire day?

Let me see - Long Bay has a high wall with a small parking lot so you really can't keep an eye on your car from the beach. I'm not sure if you can park a ways down the road or if it would be a better location if you could park in a different location. Maybe Plum beach or Red would be a better option?.

Longue is known for this as there is no security. Best to move to another beach.

We were there a few weeks ago. It was fine. We did not have any problems at all. Don't leave anything in you car anywhere on the island and you will be fine.

When I say anything. I mean NOTHING.
