Anguilla & St. Martin depature tax?

We're traveling by ferry from St. Martin to Anguilla. Do we have to pay a departure tax both in Anguilla & St. Martin on our return trip?

Public Ferry Fees:

$15 per person one way before 6pm

Plus $5 departure tax per person from St. Martin to Anguilla

or $20 departure tax per person from Anguilla to St. Martin

bobcat, I saw on the link you provided to Cap Juluca the rates you posted on their site. Their site confuses me a bit because for day trips (only), I have always paid only $40/person for a round trip. I wonder if that has changed? Any recent visitors do just a day trip and how much did you pay round trip?

Good question - I don't know the answer - is there more than one ferry company currently offering service?

Someone will surely know more about this.

I'll be on the ferry out of Marigot to Anguilla on the 18th. I'll let you know!

For day trippers the departure tax from Anguilla is also 5 USD....20 is for stays of more than a day.

Bobcat and Tilly are correct. Went to Anguilla via Marigot ferry yesterday. BOTH ways were the same. $5 departure tax, $15 ferry fee. $40 total round trip. Had a blast!!!!!!!

Does one need to book in advance for the ferry. Family and I will be heading out to St. Martin in early June. We're keen to go to Anguilla or Saba for one night. Any suggestions on which island to visit and stay over? Many thanks- Suzie
