We are staying in Sea Belle right now and have been here for a week, so far. It is absolutely fantastic. Everything looks just like the pictures on the internet site. The location is terrific. You walk off the covered terrace onto the pool deck and right into the pool. Easy to sit in the sun or the shade - whichever you prefer. And the beach is just steps away through the gate to the side of the pool. Used the BBQ on the terrace to cook a great steak dinner last night.

The owner, Linda, will send you a wonderful guide, once you have paid the final deposit. It is loaded with lots of useful and important information about the unit, plus lots of tips about great places to eat or things to do on the island. La Siesta is well-located right on Simpson Bay Beach, in a quiet residential area. Lots of condos and local homes. Some of the local houses may look a little run down, but the people are very friendly and proud of their homes. Easy drive or walk to lots of shops and restaurants in Simpson Bay itself on Airport road or Welfare Road. Recommend a rental car to be able to visit all the wonderful sights, beaches and restaurants on the island. You have a dedicated parking spot at La Siesta.

Happy to answer any questions you may have, but you have picked a terrific unit in a great little complex.

It is great to hear a good report from someone who has stayed at La Siesta. The photos look beautiful online. We are arriving Sat for a week at La Siesta. Do you cross a bridge to get to the casinos and some of the restaurants? We were looking online at a map and wondering if the bridge to Welfare ST is one of the drawbridges.

Are there enough chairs at the pool for all of the guests?

Would you mind tell us the closest restaurant and casino?

Loved La Siesta - we stayed in Casa Carib unit in late May 2013.

You can see my trip report here:

Lots of Restaurants close (crave, jimbos, Skipjacks, toppers), although we drove to all of them.

Try Crave - it was rate #1 when we went (and we agreed with the rating).

Yes, the bridge is a drawbridge. And I believe there's a casino right after the bridge.

There were enough chairs when we went.

Although we did not do this (and kicking myself for not doing it), walk down beach (towards airport) to Karakter Beach Bar & Cafe.

Like CanuckTravlr says, don't let the local houses scare you. It was me, wife, and 2 daughters 21 & 23, and never felt uneasy or unsafe. And I actually liked being mixed in with the locals - it made for a better travel experience!!
