Art - objets d'art - crafts

We will be looking for a nice "objet d'art" to bring home from CT/SA. We try to buy one really nice piece of art from each of our trips. Could anyone recommend some artists/places? I mean ...how to put it... not trinkets or the like, but something of high quality, a small sculpture or an object preferably, by a merited artist.

Ardmore Ceramics, made on a farm in Kwazulu Natal, intricately painted by Zulu Artists is highly sought after and even the Queen of England and Hilary Clinton are a collectors. Charles Greig Jewellers at the V&A waterfront is a stockist. You can also buy them directly from Ardmore Farm, but you would have to be visiting Kwazulu Natal

Michael John Mawdsley is also an exceptional bronze artist. Not sure if he sells his art anywhere other than Kwazulu Midlands, but you can get hold of them direct and find out.

Ps his work is apparently been exhibited at the V&A Waterfront.
