Plettenberg Bay or Knysna?

We have 2 nights this January and can't decide whether to stay in Plettenberg Bay or Knysna. Any recommendations?

If you want great beaches then choose Plettenburg Bay, if you want more bustle and nightlife then choose Knysna. The first two weeks of January will be extremely busy in both places as they are popular with S African families during school holidays.

Knysna for scenary and Plett for the beach and peace and quiet. There's definately more to do in Knysna as well. They are so close to eachother it really doesn't make that much difference.

Definately - Knysna ! if you want nice restaurants, things to do and lovely scenery - Plet for the sandy beaches.

How can you say that there is more to do in Knysan, Plettenberg Bay has the bungy jumping, skydiving, Robberg Peninsula, elephant sanctuaries, game reserve, cat sanctuary, Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, beaches, a very good night life, restaurants. So I would say Plettenberg Bay as they have it all, I live in Plett and only go to knysna for shopping.

We prefer Knysna because it's more laid back & suits a more mature individual. It's probably an 'age' thing!

Regardless, I'm very jealous. We can't get back for another 18 months. Enjoy.
