Cape Town "must see" itinery

We will be in Cape Town probably near Camps bay for two weeks at Christmas and New Years and would like help with a "must see" itinery. We think we would like to spend most of our time around Camps Bay but don't want to miss any "must see" places in the area. Any advise on an itinery or list of "must see's" is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Calvan

Must see also depends on your interests.

Top of Table Mountain - turn it into a day hike up if you enjoy hiking & get the cable car down (or both ways if you don't want to hike).

A trip out to Cape Point, including the penguins at Boulders and stopping in Kalk Bay & Simons town to look at antiques & craft shops.

Chapmans peak for sunset, can combine with a trip to Hout Bay (close to Camps bay & a boat trip out to seal island).

Long street, company gardens, city centre walking around.

Bo kaap including a Cape Malay meal.

V&A waterfront.

Robben island

Art & History museums if you are into that sort of thing.

I think Boulders Beach might be closed for a time to help the penguins breed in peace, but you might just want to check.

Simonstown, Hout Bay, Cape Point definitely. Don't miss Casa Labia here. Have a drink at the Brass Bell.

The company gardens, which is close to the Iziko Museum.

Kloof street and all its amazing restaurants and interesting shops.

Camps Bay is a gorgeous area - you'll love it. Go to Caprice for Sunday night drinks - can get quite rowdy, but hey you're on holiday. Paranga is also a great restaurant.

Long street, District 6 and the museum.

St George's cathedral, where many historical events took place.

An absolute must-see: Christmas carols in the Kirstenbosch Gardens.

Boulders was open as of three days ago and I did not see any notification indicating a closure.
