Liverpool v Manchester City

Hello, I will be staying in the city centre on Jan the 25th and advice on a centrally located bar to watch the match will be much appreciated, you can see from my tag where my loyalties lie !

As you don't have "Blue" or "Moon" in your tag I am happy to answer!

The k/o for the second leg is quite late SA time (two hours difference in our summer) so k/o is 21:45. Then being a second leg it could be that there is extra time and even penalties so it is possible that the game will not finish till 12:30 or later. Wednesday nights in Cape Town are not exactly late - this is certainly an "early-to-bed early-to-rise" city! Most locals interested in the game will probably weatch at home - I will!

The Fireman's Arms is a good choice but isn't usually busy that late. Probably the best choice might be the similar name Ferryman's Arms at the Waterfront. Being in the area that tourists congegate they are much more likely to have tourist supporters - both red and blue - and stay busy to the end of the game.

Of course Liverpool might have drawn the first leg and be 3-0 up in the second by 11pm - so no need to stay late!

So then, where are you planning to be on the afternoon of the 28th for the (more significant!) Liverpool-Man U FA Cup game? 5pm SA time k/o!!

Thanks for the post's people, I ended up watching the game in a bar in Long Street, very enjoyable, and Van-de-Caab, we saw Kenny's mighty Reds demolish Fergie's flops in our Hotel before flying home to England
