Getting to the V&A Waterfront

Hi everyone,

My wife and I are staying at a hotel just off Kloof Street in July this year and we have booked our tickets for the Robben Island Tour. We will have a car but would we need to drive down or could we walk, we are both reasonably active? Are there places to park near the ferry terminal if we were to drive there?

Think you would be better to drive down - I think walking back from the V&A after a tour of Robben Island would be somewhat tiring - and in July it could be wet. There is plenty of parking at the V & A close to the ferry terminal.

Hi there

The parking close to the Robbin Island Ferry are at the moment under construction and will be for a long time. It will be better just to get a cab to there and back.

We parked in the V&A shopping centre car park which is cheap, then it is a two minute walk.

The parking at the Clock tower is fine, even though there is construction work close by. We parked there a few days ago..

Have a great holiday.
