Which part of Cape Town?

Me and my fiance are still currently working on our itinerary for our last minute trip. However, we feel we shud book our hotel first as we will be there next week on 8 Dec 12.This is our first time ever to Cape Town and it is getting quite confusing for us.

Pls recommend to us which part of Cape Town should we stay? We love somewhere with beautiful view of the ocean yet easy and convenient to do our sightseeing. And most importantly it must be safe.

Thank you

Camps Bay would work. Small community with lots of lodging at all price points.

Look here: safarinow.com/destinations/camps-bay/hub.aspx

One point - some of these will be at sea level.. others will be on the streets that are strung out along the hillside. But it's a pretty area, big beach, lots of cafes.

Here's what it looks like - https://www.google.com/search?num=10&hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1048&bih=637&q=camps+bay+cape+town&oq=camps+&gs_l=img.1.1.0l10.1173.2234.0.4732.6.6.0.0.0.0.158.745.0j6.6.0.cpmergenn..0.0...1.1.gUYS_-3aoTM

The Waterfront area is the best, you have amazing views of the mountain and you are right on the sea. Try City Lodge, Waterfront, they are 3 star and value for money, or if booked, try Commodore Hotel which is close by. It is a safe area, and you are within walking distance of the restaurants.
