Transport from International airport to city and B and B's

How easy is it for 2 adults to travel from Cape Town International Airport to the City Centre?

Train? Bus? Taxi? Shuttle bus provided by the guesthouse or hotel (any suggestions of places that offer this service?).

Would also welcome some advice on guesthouses or hotels that are fairly centrally located in the city, offer bed and breakfast facilities and are reasonably priced.

I have been researching but without much success.

Thanks in advance for your help

There is a big amount of B&B's and Guesthouse in and around the City. Have a look at www.safarinow.com and also www.capetown-direct.com for more info. An airport transfer should not cost you anything more than R300 from the Airport to the City Center for 2people. You can make use of a taxi from the Airport or you can pre-book a shuttle to pick you.

I have looked at www.safarinow.com but the difficulty is knowing exactly where the individual establishments are (in spite of looking at maps!). Hence, my question.

Thanks for the info re airport transfer.

Do you happen to organise one day tours that take in Hout Bay, Chapman's Peak Drive, Simonstown, Boulders Beach (penguins), Cape Point (walk up to lighthouse) etc (not necessarily in that order!)?

Many thanks.

Hi

Your best bet to find accommodation is to use someone who have access to many rental accommodations in and around Cape Town. Someone who asks you questions about where you want to stay and why?

For example if you want to be in the city, at the beach, close to nature, in the buzz, etc. All these will tell such an agency what it is that you want to do and then match your needs with a great place to stay.

For all our accommodation guests we recommend Raphael to collect people from the airport. He is a lovely guy and trustworthy http://goo.gl/TXXOG
