Two 30-something couples visiting in October -where to stay?

We're having a very difficult time deciding where to stay...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We are two married couples in our early 30's looking for a vibrant nightlife and trendy restaurant scene in a safe area where we can walk to these places. (we are from Chicago, so "safe" is a relative term). Would also like a good view from the hotel/b&b/condo/house. We have a budget of approx $150-250 USD/night.

Any suggestions of places to stay or neighborhoods to stay in? Thank you VERY much!!

I think you would be well advised to rent a two-bedroom apartment at an All Suite Hotel in Green Point (Romney Park and Rockwell can be recommended. Be sure to request a room with view. Green Point is close to the Waterfront, City, Cape Quarter and within walking distance of Long and Kloof Streets where there is night life.

For the request that you have i would recommed Camps Bay for very comfortable walks and easy to find your way around. It is at the same time very close to get to the city for a late night out, only 20mins by taxi. Have a look at The Bay Hotel, Camps Bay Resort for a self catering apartment, Place on the Bay Hotel, Azamare Guest House, and also Primi Sea Catle Guest House.

All the best!

Stay at the Cape Royale Hotel in Green Point however most accommodation in the "Atlantic Seaboard" area will be above board especially in that price range!

Hi,

I doubt very much whether you will be able to get accommodation at the Bay Hotel, Camps Bay Resort, Place on the Bay, Azamare or Cape Royale (two rooms) for R2,500 in October for two couples.

If the $250 / night is for all of you then I guess you could contact a company called "Accommodation Warehouse" for a furnished apartment or contact "stayincapetown" and speak to a guy called Koos .... try to rent in the Atlantic Seaboard area ......extremely safe and beautiful ....enjoy!

There are some lovely Guest Houses & Self-Catering establishments along the Atlantic Seaboard, i.e. Green Point, Three Anchor Bay, Sea Point, Fresnaye, Bantry Bay well within your budget. Try the following:

- Anchor Bay Guest House

- Sunshing Letting S-C

- Mouille Point Village S-C

- Primi Oxford S-C

and many more you’ll find here on TripAdvisor & booking.com.
