Budget Accomodation

Planning to spend 3 nights in Venice from the 29th July - 1st August. Currently looking for accomodation over this time but cannot find anything less than £200 for 2 people.

Is this what I should expect to pay for a 1-2 star hotel? Would prefer to stay in the main part of venice but it seems quite expensive. Even looked at private rooms in youth hostels but these seem just as steep

Any help would be great

August is regarded low season I would say you would have no problem with a budget well under €200, look at B&B's they are really good value, Venice is not big, so locationi not important cheaper away from the San

Marco area, in August make sure you have air conditioning,
