Charge for kids?

Do the buses to the airport charge for children 3 years or 10 years old? Also do the vaparettos?

Children travel free up to and including their sixth birthday. Those aged six and over pay full fare.

According to the ATVO bus site, children 4 and under travel free.

>>The passenger must present a printed copy of the email, as ticket, to the driver on boarding the bus.

Children under 4 years of age travel free of charge.

Transport of baggage is free up to the limit of two normal suitcases.>>

According to the ACTV site, it depends on the route.

<<- children below the age of six travel free on urban routes, below the age of four on other routes.>>

And, of course, that does not match the information on the VeniceConnected web site, which just says: "If children are less than 6 years old they travel free, the others pay the full fee."

Always a difficult question with public transport in Venice.

But in this case it does not matter, unless the ACTV bus to the airport is classed as "other route".

Well in this case it is clear as crystal, or perhaps better to say Murano Glass...

The three y.o. travels free, the 10 y.o. pays full fare.

Simple as that...

In a couple/few years it will get more complicated, depending on the companies and services that you use, but by then, being Italian transport companies, they also will have had sufficient time to have changed their rules and regulations several times over...
