Yellow light ticket in Montreal

Hello,

I got a ticket in Montreal for "not stopping at a yellow light at an intersection". It was 4:50pm, it was raining, and I was travelling at 50km in a 50km zone. I was also using winter tires (law to have them during winter here) and I didn't think I could stop in time. Light turned yellow about 1 second before I crossed. Are all these legitimate factors in my favour or should I pay the ticket? I have the printed weather report but no other proof.

Thanks!

Sebastien Poulin-Chartrand

Are you sure you have posted in the right forum? You have posted in Montreal France. As far as I know there is nowhere in France where it's compulsory to have winter tyres on in May
