One full day in Auckland what to do

Hi There,

can someone suggest what we can do to spend 1 full day in Auckland this May. We're 2 adults and 2 kids(9/14)...We don't have rental car. We'll start our day from the airport hotel. Please advise what will be the less expensive way to reach city from the airport and is there any tour busses in the city so we can take that and explore the city in 1 full day?..

What would be our best option to explore city in such a less time?..We do have international flight at 11pm.In this sort time what we can do must see?...

Thanks a lot..

I would suggest you go to an Auckland information website such as http://www.aucklandnz.com/ as a 1 day tour might be your best option.

There is a Auckland tourist bus, that shows you all the popular places in Auckland. Its called auckland explorer. You can stop on the attractions for as long you wish as these buses have circulation of every 30min on most of the stops. You just need to buy a full day pass for $40 (adult)

here is more information:

http://www.explorerbus.co.nz/attractions.html

Another option wud be visiting art galleries in Auckland CBD and Domain (Museum) if you are art lover :) Taste some good food out there on viaduct :P

To transport to and from City to Airport. Take Airbus

one way $16 nd $6 child - http://www.airbus.co.nz (More info & bookings). Buy return tickets or family pass to save money. "Winner" :)
