We spent a night and a day at Long Point and Port Rowan last week as part of a road trip vacation to see southern Ontario.
The beach at Long Point Provincial Park is stunning! 2 miles of fine, soft light-colored sand, clean beaches, no crowds. We stayed at a primitive site in the dunes, less than 100 feet from the beach, and the shower and bathroom facilities were clean, well-lit and comfortable. The park has a no-noise policy and it was lovely to sleep with the breeze along the shore, the crackling of campfires and the occasional sound of someone talking around a fire in the distance.
Causeway Restaurant, grocery and gift shop, just up the road from the park entrance, has great food at great prices, friendly service and high-quality locally-made gifts. We passed up all the souvenir shops at CN Tower, etc., which sold cheap junk made in China, but loaded up at Causeway!
