cambell river ?

We have been to Tofino and Uclulet , did the Wild Pacific trail , beautiful ! Is it worth to go to Campell River ? We are not beach people , prefer rocky scenery , hiking with views... We are staying in Nanoose Bay and have 1 day spare , did everything around Nanoose except the Mount Arrowsmith hike . Still jugling between Mount Arrowsmith hike or drive to Campbell River !

Thanks

Do the Arrowsmith hike. Or take a drive to Mount Washington/Forbidden Plateau. the hiking in Forbidden Plateau is easier, and the views are wonderful. You can also take the chairlift up to the top of Mount washington and hike down. You'll definitely like that view!

Forbidden Plateau is different from Mt Washington. You can probably find it in Strathcona Park info.

jardinpr, there is great hiking in in the Campbell River area, rated from easy to extreme:

I know you only had one spare day; but check the area out on your next visit.

Apparently, the searches time out - you'll have to fill in the search criteria - still worth a look to see the great hiking in the area. ~ Natasha

Try this link for the hiking at Forbidden Plateau. You access the trails at Paradise Meadows. The Paradise Meadows loop trail is quite easy. The longest hikes are very challenging. There is something for everyone.

There are a lot of great hiking trails in Campbell River to check out!

Here are some of the most popular trails:

-the Canyon View/Elk Falls trail

-the Ripple Rock trail

-Jubilee Parkway

Strathcona Park is also only about 45 minutes away from us and includes a large number of trails ranging in difficulty and length (anywhere from about 15 minutes to 48 hours). The Strathcona Park Lodge also offers some outdoor activities if you wanted to try out kayaking, rock climbing, etc.

Here is a site that has some more information as well on the hiking trails up at Mt. Washington:

Hope this helps!
