Ski & Lift pass hire

Hi - does anyone have any experience of booking lift and ski hire in Kimberley?

Is it likely to be cheaper to book in the resort or with our tour operator before we go? Any useful web-sites etc?

Grateful for any help - we are travelling on Dec 15th and staying over Christmas, cant wait!!

You could look at the lift ticket and on-hill ski rental prices on the ski hill's website:

Lots of good info on the net;

rcr.com - host mountain(s) website - note :Lake Lousie Pass - which gives days 1/3 &7 day "free" + discounted rate, everyday as well + "special" rate pass for children. Site also has lots of links with accomodations/packages.

Strongly recommend you visit - www.northstarmountainvillage.com true "ski in/ski out accomodations". With Alpine Centre (pool etc) set to open this fall - it affords you options vs. Marriot at the bottom of the main, quad chair - just remember to catch your ride back up the hill before the T-Bar shuts down :-) at 4:30 p.m. Little quieter than staying at the base - need to know your way "down" for ski-in = not that difficult to discover, but need to discover "back door".

Kimberley great "little" ski town - hill is great for kids (no one gets killed in bounds vs other area "Mountains"). Not to take anything away from the variety = it is truuly a family hill - 11th season for us to have "family pass" = my kids grew up skiing here.

Christmas ski season "can be" touch and go for conditions. Snow making equipment means "main run" will be ready (plus this run is one of the longest night lit runs in North Amercia). As with most of Canadian Rockies locations, we have some non/little-snow Christmas season. Best time to come is Feb. .

Come on out and enjoy!
