Either - both have incredible "bottom of chairlift" location for best ski-in/out available.
Get your "best deal" in terms of what is important to you - view, room size, etc. and enjoy. . .
Points to ponder;
Polaris Lodge doesn't have an outdoor pool; has "Stemwinder" - the "main pub" and Guest Services/Rental Shop"cafeteria" (complete with Starbucks coffee) on the main floor. Possibility that room over pub could be noisy(?).
Trickle Creek Lodge - originally flagged as "Marriout" - has "walk from your room" to outdoor pool and hot tub; "Kelsey's Restaurant/Pub", and public meeting rooms (should you be with a group). Less foot traffic than what flows in/around the Polaris Lodge.
You may also want to check out Northstar Mountain Village - also has a year round pool and hot tub - at the top of the Owl T-bar. Sullivan Stone Lodge would be the only other "TRUE SKI-IN/OUT" Condo development I would comfortably recommend.
Also - best Christmas season opening conditions this year in my 15 years of skiiing here.
So,come on over and THINK SNOW!
www.kootenayrockies.com - see "Hot Springs Link" - Lussier definitely worth one hour drive from KAR.

Hi there, we stayed at the trickle creek hotel two years running. Our party had three families and three non family adults, and everyone was catered for brilliantly, can't help you on reviewing the polaris but we were more than regular in using the stemwinder directly beneath which was great with very friendly staff and locals. (check out aussie ted for your mountain guide) i'm sure which either you choose you won't be disapointed, but when we return we wont hesitate in booking the trickle creek as it ticked all boxes.
TA "tends" to have the info you seek - simple Google search often provides link with info you seek. .
Two properties are immediately adjacent to each other. Search Stemwinder &/or Polaris Lodge - again on Google -to see what "Live Entertainment" there may be in the Pub.
I would recomend The Trickle Creek we have stayed there nearly every january for the last 8 yrs
