They are likely referring to the old village by Lac Mercier. This is one of the three areas in the region. There is the ski resort, this old village of Mont Tremblant, and 'downtown' St. Jovite. In recent years they have confused the issue by calling St.Jovite Mt. Tremblant downtown and the old village Mt. Tremblant village. The village is a five minute drive from the resort and there is a local shuttle bus as well that circles through all three areas.

Mont Tremblant village is very small with a little shopping, worth a visit but will not take more than 30 minutes end to end. It is a pretty little village.

The St Jovite sector has much more shopping has some very nice antique stores and boutiques. It is not as attractive as the old village, but worth a visit.

Ste Agathe des Monts, has some cute stores and antique shops too. A bigger town than the previous two.
