I see that there are some B.C. experts giving good tips here. I am planning a family vacation with my husband, 2 young kids and 2 in-laws. We'll be visiting friends in Horsefly Lake/Williams Lake and then have hotel/ferry reservations in Bella Coola. I think it is crazy to try to drive from Horsefly to Bella Coola in one day given the road conditions (long and curvy, right?), but I am not finding any affordable lodging suggestions in my travel guides. I'm thinking somewhere around Tatla Lake or Kleena Kleene would be good bets, but we are not millionaires and can't afford a luxury fishing lodge (seemingly the only option) for one night. Any family-friendly suggestions?
