Dress Code

Hi - coming to Malcesine 4th June for a week and need to know what to pack. Is it dressy clothes for evening - can men wear shorts in the evening if it's warm enough? IO know the weather is not guaranteed - so will check for day wear before we come.

Really its a case of anything goes, many people do change for the evenings but its usually casual wear rather than formal whilst others don't bother and just go out in their shorts. Entirely your choice.

Hi, I agree with Tepore but would just add it can depend on whether or not you are on a half-board basis. If you're eating in your hotel restaurant each evening then you may find that people will dress up a bit or that your hotel even has a dress code.

If you're eating at a different place each evening you can be as dressy or as casual as you like within reason. On the first evening it may be an idea to be smart-casual and gauge what others are wearing.

This may help:

One thing to note is that Malcesine is quite hilly and has cobbled streets so you won't want to be walking around in the evening in high heels!
