help with belated honeymoon

Hi. I just found this site today, suggested by a family member. I would like to surprise my wife with a weekend getaway to the Cape, probably mid September. We never went on a honeymoon when we were married 7 years ago. As a matter of fact, we haven't been anywhere in 9 years! The weekend I want to take her will be 10 years since our 1st date. What I'm looking for is a room with a king size canopy bed and a jacuzzi/large tub so that she can forget all her worries. Also, a place where cel phones don't work;)

I'm not really worried where on the Cape. Doesn't have to be on the beach. We're not that far from it, but we've never stayed overnight there.

Oh, another thing. I'm on a budget, but will splurge for a special place.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Cheers,

Patrick

Came across this place (has decent reviews):

More specifically, the Stage Harbor room. King-size 4 poster bed, 2-person jacuzzi....

Chatham is wonderful!!!

I guess I have to rethink my strategy. I was hoping to keep it under $200, so it looks like no king canopy bed. A B & B looks to be above my budget. I still want her to have a big tub/jacuzzi, though.

Would it be better to wait until days before, hoping to get a deal on a room I'm looking for (canopy bed included), or should I just book now, without the canopy bed, so I don't miss out?

Looking for weekend of Sep 19-21.

You should be able to find something in your price range. I did a quick search and found these..

In case you need a plan B: You might postpone your visit to the Cape until early October. Brisker than Sept., not beach weather, but still lovely, although the weather is very unpredictable here. If you do postpone, check out the fantastic deal available at Chatham Bars Inn on Travelzoo. Click on "hotels" then type in "Cape Cod Resort" and you'll get the link. They were advertising rooms for $159.00 (!!!!). You wouldn't be bumping into a lot of kids at this time either. (Might be worth a look and you can "give notice" of this gift of a weekend away on your anniversary over dinner!)

I have never stayed at the Crow's Nest - but it's on the beach, you've got a jacuzzi bath, it has a fireplace, the price is right and it gets nice reviews.

Here is a thought, Patrick. Cuddles and Bubbles at the international Inn is on Hyannis on Main Street where there are great restaurants and night life.

Cuddles and Bubbles? hmmm. Do they have heart shaped tubs and beds that vibrate when you put the quarter in the slot?

When we first ate at Ardeo on Main (which I love), we walked past Cuddles and Bubbles. I initially thought it was a dog grooming place (by virtue of its name).
