Best place to find nice shorebird carving??

Thanks to those who have helped refine our October trip to the Cape, MV, and Nantucket! Despite my research/reading/internet searches, I have not found any place that has wood/driftwood hand crafted shorebirds....does anyone know where I might check for these? Might there be any at the Hyannis or Yarmouth festivals?(one of the few things I've collected over the past 30 years) Thanks ya'll!

Since you are staying in Yarmouth you will have all the Hyannis stores/galleries close by. Try to include this store for your browsing as they have lovely accessories, possibly even a shorebird. Everything they carry is quality.

And, in Hyannis, when you are hungry from all your shopping and looking for some lunch either head to the harbor to Baxter's for a casual shore lunch where you will dine at the harbor right over the water with great views (weather permitting) OR head north up Rt. 134, turn right on Independence (at the light) and right into The Naked Oyster for a sophisticated menu and a premium experience. Both places are open for dinner too. Call Baxter's but I believe they remain open to mid-Oct.

Thanks for the info, Charlie! The Naked Oyster is on my list, and will have to check out Baxter's too!

Randy and Elaine Fisher in Dennis have great birds, here is their web site and I would call or email them:http://www.fisherwildlife.com/

And Jewelry Inspirations Gallery in West Dennis also has carvings, they may have limited hours.

Martha and fussyguest: OMG! thanks so much! I've looked at the shorebirds, and they are lovely! Definitely a stop on our visit! (We live on the water in Deep South Texas, ~ much of our 'down time' is spent watching the herons, egrets, sandpipers, spoonbills, skimmers, and soon flocks of migratory birds that overwinter here. We hand feed the ducks deer corn, the only 'food' that the seagulls don't snatch. If you are down our way, to escape the winter perhaps, you'll have to let me know!)The TripAdvisor community has been phenomenal in our planning! Thanks so much to all of you!
