Diners, Drive-ins and Dives!!

My family LOVES this show & we try to eat at as many featured places that we can. We're headed to the Cape in July for a 10 day stay (soooo excited). We camp in Nickerson's but are all over the place on daytrips. Please let us know which dining venues are awesome, cheap eats, a real "find" for each town.

Thanks!! Looking forward to the answers :)

Falmouth:

Clam Shack at the end of the harbor on Clinton Ave. Dine outside on the rooftop or on the back deck. Lunch and dinner

Betsy's Diner, because it's a diner. Inexpensive B, L and D with B being served all day and you'll have Specials menus as well.

Casino Wharf FX for lunch or a drink during the daylight for the fab views.

For a bit of Ireland - Liam Maguire's Irish Pub and Restaurant.

Dennis:

Oyster happy hour daily in Dennisport at The Oyster Co. 99cents each

Sesuit Harbor - not cheap but great seafood and you can BYOB and cash only at this outdoor harborside venue.

Swan River Restaurant or Chapins both on Lower County Rd for lobster dinner, usually the least expensive around. Both have a wide menu and are set up for kids. Chapins, overall will probably be less. Don't go too hungry as there is a wait in summer.

Others to consider for lunch and dinner in Dennisport are: The Dog House on Lower County, Kreme n Kone on 28 at Rt 134 and in Dennis on 6A Capt. Frosty's.

Harwich: If you are in the mood for Mexican food after all the yummy seafood, you've got a spot pretty handy to your camp in Harwich - Andale Cafe. And then there's the Mason Jar in Harwichport which is mostly sandwiches but you can check out their 'to go' items. PIzza one night should be from George's also in downtown Harwichport.

But this is not your first trip to the Cape is it? What are your favorites?

CapeCodCharlie......you are right that we've been to Cape Cod twice before & loved it both times. We are really looking forward to getting back!! Sesuit Harbor & Clam Shack have both been on my "to try" lists, so I'll make them both definites this year.

As far as our faves: El Guapo's in Brewster and Ebargo in Hyannis are the only ones we liked enough to go back to (that's why we're looking for some new ideas). Embargo probably only qualifies on Tues when they offer 1/2 price tapas. You can sit outside on Main St and have a delicious meal for a very reasonable price. Plus, they have awesome Sangria's!!!

Anyway, thanks for the great suggestions - I can't wait to look into them a little more :)

The Box Lunch in Eastham. There's also a location in Provincetown and Wellfleet I believe. The Homeport and The Hole in One in Orleans for breakfast. Cooke's in Orleans for fish and seafood. It's also worth looking out for the fish suppers offered by local churches and various organisations such as the Elks. Sometimes it's clam chowder.

If you go to your favorite Mexican place you'll find that it has changed names to Andale Cafe. Yes, what a bargain on yummy food at Embargo on Tuesday nights. Did you knowt the you can park right behind the bldg if you can make that quick left turn fast enough after you see the restaurant that is.

Thanks. After reviewing those suggestions - we have a few more for the list!!

caribchakita....... El Guapos changed to Andales according to CapeCodCharlie. I'm crossing my fingers that it isn't true now that you said "yuck" to Andales :(
