For me it would be the first time to both Coney Island and Cape Cod.
But yesterday I saw on cnn.com that there were transponders picking up signals of multiple great white sharks in relatively shallow waters near Chatham.
Now I'm not usually paranoid, I dealt with a snake that crawled into our kayak at Assateague recently, but anyone who saw Jaws at an impressionable age like I did has to wonder.
Is there something about the waters there (is it the seals?) that attracts Great Whites more than to the popular beaches just to the south?
I really want to go because the photos look so beautiful and I want my kid to experience a balance between the rides, games and boardwalk shops that she loves so much, and natural beauty.
