place to stay with 2 kids under 3

My wife and I are planning to 3 night stay in Cape Cod in August. Our kids will be 2 1/2 and 1 at the time. We stayed at Red Jacket Resort 2 yrs ago, which was fine, but thought we would try another area, perhaps staying in either Falmouth area (didnt see last time there) or between Dennisport/Chatham. Any thoughts as to hotels that can accommodate us?

Lots of places that can accommodate families with young kids on the Cape. In Falmouth - there's Seacrest Beach Hotel. In Dennisport there is the Three Seasons; in Harwich, there's the Winstead Inn & Resort; in Chatham there's the Chatham Bars Inn. You don't mention a budget - these are more high end (except for the Three Seasons, which is more moderately priced esp. for on the beach).

If you don't need beachfront or high-end accommodations, look at The Tern Inn in West Harwich, which is between Dennisport and Chatham. It's in a quiet location with lots of green space and room for the kids to run around at the end of the day, and there's a little playground. It's also within walking distance of Pleasant Road Beach and the Weatherdeck restaurant. The owners of The Tern Inn are grandparents and love kids.

In addition to the Three Seasons in Dennisport you can check on the Colony Beach right next door. Choose a room with a kitchenette for handy kid's snack and maybe breakfast. From this location ON the beach you are a quick stroller ride away from Wee Packet restaurant for grilled cheese sandwiches and lobster rolls for lunch and, right around the corner, the famous Sundae School with home made ice cream. Three Seasons has a cafe for breakfast and lunch that is open to the public however you might really enjoy their beach bar serving food created by the Ocean House and adult beverages morning, noon and night. One thing to check on if it is important to you, is that some hotels do not allow babies in diapers into their main pools. Both of these properties mentioned, while on the beach, have heated pools. Welcome back to the Cape.
