Flying British Airways: Selecting Your Seats in Advance?

Anyone know if you can do this if you're going Coach in the Summer?

HOW?

It appears they assign them at boarding - that seems a bit antiquated....?

I think that you can reserve your seats and check in online twenty-four hours before departure - but this may be just for executive club members though. It would be worth looking into, and signing up for the executive club if you can.

We are flying from SFO to LHR end of May and I was able to pick seats in Coach right after purchasing the tickets on line for both ways. I am also planning to get boarding passes 24 hrs before departure also on line.

catjammies: In addition to the info provided above, once you have chosen your seats, it is possible to keep checking back to find other seats that may come open.
