can any one recommend a whale watching trip in Scotland?>
Hmmm. Scotland is not really the place for whale watching, at least in my experience. Definitely a lot of good place for seals, dolphins, and Birds. If I remember correctly when I have visited Orkney and Shetland Islands I was told that on occasion you can see some whales, so maybe look into those areas. Some of the best Dolphin watching spots are near Inverness.
There are trips in the Hebrides to see basking shark and minke whales at certain times, but you can almost guarantee dolphins in the Moray Firth, we spent an afternoon at Fort George, it was magical, such a great setting.
