Toilets on trains

I'll be taking a train from London-Portsmouth, then one from Bath-Oxford and Oxford-London.

Do the trains that run between these places have toilets on board?

Thanks :)

These ones should as they are relatively long distance, and train companies have realised after many years of experience that sitting with ones legs crossed for a long time is uncomfortable!

Some commuter trains on shorter journeys won't have toilets'

Standards of comfort/cleanliness can vary, but the answer is "yes" for the fast trains on all of those routes. There are no direct trains Bath-Oxford as far as I know. Presumably you'll need to change at Didcot.

There are far more trains with toilets in the UK than there are without toilets. The routes you have mentioned all have trains with toilets, so you should be fine!

If you have a specific need for toilets on board it would be worth contacting the Passenger Assistance helpline 24 hours in advance.

This ensures that station and on-train staff are aware of your need and will try to make alternative arrangements if e.g. an on-train toilet is locked out of service they may be able to advise you before boarding so you can choose to wait for the next train.
