Hi Mel

What kind of place/budget are you looking for? Centre of Bristol?

Hi

We are staying in the centre at the mcdonald holland house. A good quality tradtional sunday lunch not from a chain place, somewhere with a bit of style but not necesary a la carte, under a tenner preferably for two courses. However we are open minded!

Many thanks

If its not already too late (or at least it may benefit someone else with same problem) I would recommend Johns restaurant in Midland Rd, about 1/2 mile from Temple Meads or Castle Park, in the Old Market' area. The area itself is a litle rundown, lots of rebuilding going on etc but it is on a main thoroughfare so it'll be safe enough.

Its listed in the Yellow Pages as a Thai restaurant, which it is Thursday to Saturday, but on a Sunday lunchtime they do the most brilliant Sunday lunches ever! Very well cooked and served, the style of the place is cafe/bar so a nice relaxed feel about the place.

Just the thought of it wants to make me book it for this Sunday!
