Dog walk, leg stretching

Hi there, we're travelling down to Tenby on a Monday in a few weeks time from London with our dog in the back. Can anyone advise a nice place/country park near Bristol where we can stop off to give the dog a good exercise and for us to have a break from the M4. Somewhere with decent toilets and somewhere to get a drink would be useful. Many thanks.

Sorry you are getting no response...for what its worth...

Ashton Court is free, has a deer park and a lovely location very close to the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Leigh Court/Woods are even closer to the motorway (M5) but really unsure about toilet facilities but there is a graden centre on the way in. Tyntesfield House (National Trust) is nice and I don't know if they charge simply to walk in the grounds and use the toilets. All 3 are accessed via the Gordano services/Portbury docks junction M5 imediately after the Avonmouth bridge.

Hi ShoeString, thank you for your reply. I checked out Ashton Court and that seems to be ideal, better than a motorway services and as we are leaving Kent early to get round London it would be to stop somewhere like this.
