I don't know, I think Luton might be closer, depending on where you're going in Buckinghamshire...

One would have wondered if the most convenient airport is the one you want, not necessarily the closest. So where in Bucks are you going, please?

As already stated the most convenient airport to use would depend on where in Bucks you are traveling to/from....

but you should find the following website useful, it give details on airport links to/from: Wycombe, Aylesbury and Chiltern

I'm curious. What does "carousel" mean in this context?

Carousel A40 from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield to Heathrow Central Bus Station.

It's one of the options on the above-mentioned website.

Birmingham is actually the easiest and quickest (1hr door to door to Buckingham) followed by Heathrow (1hr plus M25 traffic and parking) and Luton (1hr plus M1 traffic). Aer Lingus fly Birmingham/Dublin

Eh???

You're confusing people. Buckinghamshire covers a multiude of sins. The NW of the county is close to Birmingham airport, the NE and E of the county is close to Luton, and the S of the county is close to Heathrow - so where are you going to??
