Cream Teas!

Came to Jersey for the first time in May 2006 for a long weekend, loved it so much we came for a week in the August, and been back each year for a week. This year due to other family commitments we are back to the long weekend. This time in April.

Determined to have a lovely cream tea this year.

Can anyone recommend anywhere?

If you want an afternoon cream tea in lovely surroundings, try Chateau La Chaire. In the summer you can have it on their peaceful terrace or in the elegance of the drawing room. Why not consider staying there, for residents of the hotel the afternoon cream tea is complimentary. They do special offers for accommodation which often includes ferry and car hire, worth considering! Failing that, just drive up to Rozel, have a lovely walk and end up at Chateau La Chaire, there will be no need to book for the cream tea and I think they serve it between about 3pm and 5pm. The relaxed ambiance makes it one of our favourite venues. Enjoy!

Chateau Le Chaire certainly does have an opulent and tranquil air and almost transports you back in time with it's quiet elegance.

At the bottom of the hill, and at the other end of the price spectrum, I had the best (and probably biggest!) scone and cream ever, at the Hungry Man on Rozel Harbour. Cakes are excellent, too.

Sitting in the sunshine on the harbour, looking at the boats and the ducks - couldn't be better. Gets busy on a nice day, though. Be prepared to wait a bit for somewhere to sit.

Thank you, both those suggestions sound lovely, actually been to the Hungry Man before, didn't know about the cream teas?

Is there anything inbetween the two, like a lovely coffee shop anywhere?

thank you
