Restaurant recommendations including vegetarian

There will be 5 of us visiting next week, ages from 16 to 78, and with one member of the party being vegetarian. 2 of us like fish, one doesn't like fish but is keen on meat, and one will try most things but especially enjoys steak!

Can anyone recommend some suitable places to eat? We all like Italian so a good one of those would be great. We have 3 evenings/days to fill.

well almost any restaurant will have vegetarian options!

Green Olive in town has great vegetarian dishes as well as seafood and meat choices!

Here's some more recommendations:

One of my favourite Italian restaurants is 'Little Italy' which is in Kensington Place on the side of The Grand Hotel. It gets very busy so best to book on 01534 720631. It is not expensive for good Italian food and lots of atmosphere.

It would be very helpful if you tell us which part of the Island you will be staying in as we can then recommend restaurants near to you as I doubt you will want to go into St. Helier each night to eat.

We are staying in St Brelade, but don't mind travelling.

Although most places have a vegetarian option, many of them just have one or two suitable dishes - would prefer something with a good choice. Having looked it up, looks as if Salty Dog might fulfil our requirements.

Thanks fot the Little Italy recommendation too.

If you are in St. Brelade, you have The Oyster Box on the Promenade which is well regarded but a bit pricey with lovely views. Another alternative is Pizza Express in St. Brelade, overlooking the sea. People speak very highly of it but make sure you run your 2 for 1 voucher for main courses off their website on the internet before you leave home. You also have a very good Chinese restaurant called Jambo. Salty Dog you have mentioned in St. Aubin is excellent and you have a wide choice of eating places in that area. The Boat House in St. Aubin is also very good, particularly sat on their terrace if it is warm. They do excellent Moules and Frites plus a wide range of other dishes. There is pub just as you enter St. Aubin which does a good range of pub food at very reasonable prices. Also in St. Aubin is Bistro Soleil next to Dunnells wine merchant, it is on the right coming from St. Brelade just before the roundabout for Beaumont Hill but it is best to book as I recommend for all the places you decide on. Hope you have some nice eating experiences.

Green Olive has more than one or two vegetarian options!

Here's their menu:

Salty Dog is a bit on the pricey side but a good choice!
