Ladies day

Four ladies as we like to be known for the day, coming to Chester for a few days what is the best place to go at night after the races we would like something that's a bit upmarket also with good atmosphere.

There's plenty of bars; bar lounge is very lively on race days, oddfellows is good fun, whereas the grosvenor is as sophisticated as it gets!

Also try the church but more of a pub than a bar

Deva1982 has mentioned some good places. The relatively new Town House 1776 on Watergate Street Row North has a very classy looking Georgian Room upstairs, Not sure whether it is for the general public or private parties though.

I was going to suggest The Weighing Room which is owned by Chester Races, it is in Commonhall Street just off Bridge Street. I have just walked past, they seem to be bringing in lots of chairs! They have a terrace and two or three floors. Should be buzzing during Race Week.
