Things to do for kids in Cornwall

Hi

We are coming to Cornwall with our two kids (they will be aged 3 and 14 months) we are staying in a cottage near Camelford

We are looking for ideas for things to do, places to go etc suitable for young children and would appreciate any tips

We obviously plan on going to the beach but not sure which ones will be best.

We don't mind driving to places so all suggestions welcome

This used to be my favourite day out with small children. Lots for themt to do and see, and just right for the very young ones.

Then there is Crealy, I've not been for a few years, but you all might enjoy it

A lovely beach for little ones is Daymer Bay which is quite close for you at Camelford

And in case of a rainy day

The Eden Project also has different activities for children at different times of the year.

Hope you have a good holiday!

Hi there,

Have to agree with annabelle regarding Springfields, an excellent family day out.

How about Newquay Zoo?

Me and hubby went there 4 years with no kids and absolutely loved it, would highly recommend to families.

You mentioned about beaches, about 8 miles from Newquay is Perranporth, plenty of places to park in the resort, may be near Newquay but is so different and very family orientated, an enormous beach with a pub on the beach which is very family friendly, pubs and eateries in the centre, off there are again, 10th year running, love it.

I always feel sorry for the ponies at Springfields but I'm sure they are well looked after. You could go to Paradise Park at Hayle. As well as the parrots there is an indoor play centre with provision for little ones and children can help feed the penguins.

Hi there

If the weather's bad, take them to the National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth, it's the best in the UK.
