Visit to Cornwall August 2014

We want to visit Cornwall, taking in Port isaac, in August 2014. We are huge fans of Doc Martin. We are sailing from Rosslare to Pembroke and driving down to Port Isaac with maybe a stopover in Bristol on the way. We only plan to stay in Port isaac for about 2 nights and want to take in some other idyllic villages in the surrounding areas. Any advice as to what villages/towns to visit would be appreciated. We plan to stay for a week

Just about everywhere in Cornwall is idyllic. Suggest you start by looking at a guidebook, narrow it down to a few choices, then you may need to come back here wider more specific information. Happy reading!

Thank you for the replies. We have decided to stay in Bristol one night, Port Isaac 3 nights, St. Ives 1 night and back up to Bath for 2 nights before we head back to Ireland. I reckon we can do a lot of sightseeing from Port Isaac. Just need to sort out accommodation now!
