Hi there

I assume you have a car?

If so, then Polperro is just 4 miles along the road, a pretty fishing village, within a half hour drive or so you have Restormel castle at Lostwithiel, the Eden Project at Bodelva, Fowey, Mevagissey, the lovely harbour at Charlestown where you usually find at least two square rigger ships in berth, Lanhydrock House and much more. As you are in Looe, take the train ride to Liskeard, it's less than four quid return and it's one of the most scenic branch lines in the country.

Lots of history in Lostwithiel, the Tudor Bridge, the old stannary hall, St Bartholomew's church, etc. If you want to go further afield, there's a castle at Launceston as well as several formal gardens.

I echo all that GB has said above. There are also some nice National Trust properties in the area, plus The Lost Gardens of Helligan. You could also journey quite easily to the North Cornish coast and taken in Padstow. Just a short journey back over the Tamar river and you will be in Plymouth, which has a lot to offer. Falmouth is worth seeing, you really will be spoilt for choice.
