We arrived late afternoon as we had done in several other small picturesque harbour towns in Cornwall and found very quickly that everything was closing. By 5.30 the place was dead and much to the kids disgust we couldn't even get an icecream. Beautiful place but seems so overtaken by holiday cottages that the village is now a museum/exhibition centre and the heart and soul has been ripped out by this. Despite our late arrival time we will still charged for a full days parking, when we only had an hour to explore the town. Despite the traffic restrictions there were still a huge number of vehicles tearing up and down the narrow streets. Wouldn't bother going here again - try Mevaggissey.
