Can you tell me the best and flattest walking route from the railway station to the town centre.

If we call 'Town Centre' Tregenna Place there are 2 ways, and nothing in it distance-wise.

1) Walk through the station (from the platform). This takes you to a (100 yard) gentle slope up to the bus station and from there you go straight ahead to the town centre by a 100 yard flat walk then a very short but steeper slope down (Tregenna Hill).

2) Take the steps 30 yards from the platform exit down to The Warren (above Porthminster beach), turn left and walk down to Westcott's Quay (all very flat except for a slight downslope as you approach Westcott's Quay. Then it's a short but gentle upslope to Street-an-Pol and up that street (very flat) to the town centre.

Either way total distance from train platform is about 400 yards. If by town centre you mean Market Place/Harbour area then option 2 is marginally better.
