New Year In st ives

have booked a cottage for new year, just behind fore street.

not planning on eating out on NYE itself but will be during the week, any good recommendations ?

also from postings here from last yr the fancy dress seems to have stopped?

will st ives itself be fairly lively or is it quiet at this time of yr, will the shops be open?

any hints and tips would be helpful, ive only ever been to st ives in the summer and wanted to see it when it was mayb a little more peaceful as well.

I think you may have picked the wrong time of year again if your looking to see St.Ives peaceful!!!

New year is always jammed packed with people. Most shops will be open the days running up to and a few days after new year.

Not sure on fancy dress, its been really 50/50 the last few years

Last year pubs and that were charging to get in and if you walked out you had to pay to get in so it would be wise to choose one you like and stay there!!
