Or train to Bodmin Parkway, then bus to Wadebridge, then another bus to Tintagel.
Or get a taxi when you get off the train.
Tintagel is quite an awkward place to get to by public transport.
Driving would be much quicker and easier, otherwise buses as mentioned are the only other option.
Assuming that you are using the Stonehenge Tour bus from Salisbury, I would suggest you then take the train from Salisbury to Exeter St.Davids, followed by either...
- Bus X9 or 599 to Bude, then bus 595/594 to Tintagel OR
- Bus 510 to Camelford, then bus 594 to Tintagel.
The current bus timetables are available here: cornwallpublictransport.info/bus_timetables.…
but bear in mind these are the Winter timetables and that it could be a couple of months before the Summer ones are available.
Don't take a Taxi from Exeter - that would be VERY expensive !
My wife travels up country quite often and uses the 594/5 bus to and from Bude and then X9/ 599 to Exeter St Davids as Phil suggests.
The bus from Bude to Tintagel changes its number in Boscastle just to complicate things!
Going the Bodmin route would take much longer and the train goes through Exeter anyway before it even eventually gets to Bodmin so as well as taking longer it would also cost a lot more.
Bodmin station is miles out in the middle of nowhere too!
If you can drive then I would suggest hiring a car if you can.
