Hello, please can I have some advice in how best to get from Exeter to Compton castle by public transport? (on a Monday)

I don't mind a bit of a walk.

Train to Newton Abbot then this bus stagecoachbus.com/PdfUploads/…2066C.pdf to Marldon is one way - it's about half an hour's walk from Marldon

But there are numerous combinations. Traveline South West should enable you to plan it in more detail

Nothing will take you to the doorstep - look at this link.

Maybe get a taxi from totnes or newton abbot after getting the train that far.
