Family accommodation

My husband and I have booked a small cottage in Beaminster for the 1st week of the Easter holidays. My brothers family (2 adults and 3 children) now want to join us for 2 days bu tare struggling to find somewhere close by. As the kids are a bit older they would ideally need 2 rooms.

Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks, Helen

Not sure if 2.5 miles would be too far away, but last year we stayed at The Bothy in Broadwindsor. Really comfortable accommodation, and it has 3 bedrooms, one has a superking bed that can be split plus another single bed. Not sure if they have accommodation but you could try.

Try asking the people you booked with or the tourist information office as they will often know who still has vacancies visit-dorset.com/tourist-information-centres…

If all else fails hoseasons may have vacancies at West Bay caravan site

Thank you very much. Will try there. Anything within 10 miles or so would be fine

Plenty of caravan parks in the area and they usually open around Easter time.

Highlands End (West Dorset Leisure Holidays) is excellent.

Eype House caravans is a cheaper option.

Have had another look at the Bothy and see that they are fully booked - sorry. I don't really know what your actual dates are but have put Sat 19-26th Apr into Holiday Lettings and have come up with a couple that might suit. You could also look at Bridport which is a bit bigger and you may have more choice. Hope this helps.

There are also three more in Broadwindsor.

Just re-read your original post and I think it is going to be difficult to get a self catering place for a couple of days only.

You might want to look at this though

Stayed there a few years ago and I think there were family rooms.
